Not getting Proper download Internet speeds on UDM PRO

Every time you respond to a request from them you have to wait weeks to get a reply. They keep telling me to try this or try that and then wait for two weeks for them to respond with another thing to try!!!! almost 3 months with the same issue and I have repeatedly...

March 8th, 2024: Well it has been almost 3 months and my UDM PRO issue is still not fixed. The Support is a joke I cant return the unit because it has been over 30 days since purchase.

I think the support does this on purpose so that you cant return any units. I have told them many times that I would return for another unit or even return and purchase the SE version but no response,
THE NUMBERS YOU PROVIDE GOES TO Ingram Micro. DO THEY OWN THE COMPANY? THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE!!!
TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT WITH UBIQUITI!!!

THEY STEAL PEOPLES HARD EARNED MONEY!!!
Let me begin by stating that prior to this issue I was always a big admirer of Ubiquiti products and I saved to purchase the equipment for my network. I have been sadly mistaken.
I have spoken to technical support for almost 2 months trying to get my Internet download speed to what I am paying for.
Since I purchased the UDM PRO I have had constant average speeds of 1.5GB down and 3.1 GB up. I have Bell Fiber with 3GB down and 3GB up to my home.
I have done everything that the techs have asked of me. I purchased Ubiquiti SFP + adaptors, cables, switches.

I have made changes to the UDM PRO as per support techs request. I have tested using the WiFiMan as they requested.
I have tested my PC (2.5GB port on back) directly to the Bell fiber and getting on average 2.3 Down and 2.4 Up speeds.

I have tested the Bell modem, I have spoken to Bell tech to confirm that they are not placing any caps on speed.
I have sent multiple Support logs to them.
I have asked repeatedly if I need to exchange my UDM PRO or upgrade to the SE model (No response)
They take almost a week to get back every time I send them a response.
I even ask to setup a Teams meeting to review (Again no response to that)
I have sent emails to the president of the company and the VP on Jan 22nd mardy.rich@***.com, mandy.rich@***.com robert.pera@***.com Again no response
I would appreciate a call to try and resolve the issue. As mentioned I was and still am open to having a Teams call or have the Unit replaced or even Upgrade to the SE version if it resolves the issue.

  • Takes too long to even get support to respond back to emails

Preferred solution: Would like to resolve the Internet download issue.

So it sounds like you didn't know what you were doing with the product you purchased? Been installing these for many years and always get what I paid for and very happy customers, while their tech support definitely needs to be improved the equipment and the information around setting them up is very cut and dry as well as management.

Having a hard time getting Ubiquiti to follow up on messages

Ubiquiti seems to have mostly solid equipment but the company is AWFUL when it comes to support for it. I don't know what it is about tech companies today but they think the less they interact with customers the better it is.

Some things are not as intuitive as they should be and they blame it on you being a novice...but they are a company geared toward a fairly novice userbase vs someone like Cisco who does much higher end equipment.

It's a little frustrating that they believe they are not the ones responsible for their own customers. They responded to me initially to ask for my order number so that it would look responded to and have not responded since I gave them a prompt answer.

Preferred solution: We would like to get a phone unlocked or upgraded to the unlocked version by paying the difference and not getting whacked with a restocking fee.

User's recommendation: I would make sure you know exactly how any Ubiquiti equipment works before purchasing because they are not something you can easily troubleshoot with the company, especially with any sense of urgency

Quickbooks not communicating through UDM pro. Can see all the data on server from any computer in network but quickbooks will not operate the way it did but we installed the UDM pro. Please let me know if its some kinda setting on the UDM that is stopping quickbooks from operating properly

Terrible service. Impossible to try to talk to somebody , absolute joke of a company. Received absolutely no technical support. Never got in contact with anybody would never recommend this company to another. I would give them zero stars.

You guy charge to my credit car and I didnt receive the equipment. I tried 20 times to get better service and comunicación but is really hard and traumatized to get some body to help. We have ordered UniFi Access point on online and started using it, and found multiple issues with the Accesspoint. So, contacted Support team and requested for help.

After multiple service request support team has concluded and informed us that it has hardware issue. so we have requested for replacement as it is under warranty, Replacement team has informed us send it to their office in United States where we have paid 5k INR and booked couriers and the replacement team has mentioned that we should mention the cost of the device as it is for replacement and we have followed their instructions and they took more than 5 weeks to replace it. While sending back the device they have mentioned the cost of the device and shipped it through UPS logistics.

After reaching to our city UPS called us informed us to pay 250 $ as it is mentioned on the package, if we fail to pay the mentioned amount the package will be sent back. So we have contacted the UniFi Team again, UniFi team has informed that those are shipment charges which we have to pay.
Even after having the warranty we have paid the device cost to get the replacement which was radicles
